All Apple computers come with a one year limited carry-in hardware warranty. The AppleCare Protection plan extends the initial one year hardware warranty to three years. Whether your computer is in warranty or not, we are fully qualified to complete your repair in a fast and friendly manner.
Mac Exchange maintains an Apple Authorized warranty center, employing Apple trained and authorized service technicians.
There is no diagnostic fee for computers covered under warranty. Apple limited warranty covers Apple hardware only and does not cover software/user/non-Apple peripheral problems. If a hardware problem is not found on a warranty repair, the normal labor rate of $85/hour will be applied to the repair. Repair will be completed within 5-7 business days pending part availability.

Labor Rate: $85/hour
The diagnostic fee covers the technician's time to fully assess the condition of the computer. To speed up your repair, you can pre-approve a specified amount for the repair. Otherwise, we will call seeking an approval before further charges accrue. The diagnostic fee is in addition to any further repair costs.
Turn around time is generally five to seven days but can be affected by many factors, especially if we need to order parts. Parts may be backordered, shipments may be misdelivered, etc. We strive to complete repairs and upgrades as soon as possible.

Labor Rate: $85/hour
Repair will be completed next business day for computers dropped off before noon pending part availability. This diagnostic fee applies to both warranty and non-warranty repairs. The diagnostic fee of $99.95 is in addition to any further repair costs.
Technicians can be hired for onsite appointments for network setup, system setup, software work, hardware repairs, etc.
Standard: $85/hour
Technicians will be dispatched to your site within 3 business days.
Priority: $127.50/hour
A technician will be dispatched to your site within 4 business hours.
While we recommend that you backup your data on a regular basis, we realize that sometimes data cannot be backed up prior to repairs. As a service to you, we offer some convenient backup services.
Backup: $80
Hard drive data is copied and written to a CD or DVD which is roughly up to 8GB of data. Each additional DVD is $10. Hard drive data may also be copied and stored to an external hard drive. You may provide you own hard drive or purchase one from our store. We have a variety of name brand drives in a range of capacities.
These prices vary pending the model and generation of your iPod and are subject to change based on availability of the part needed. Other unlisted repairs can also be done (such as hard drive or internal wires). Call for details.
Battery replacement: $30 to $50
An extremely low battery can cause an iPod to turn on, even when plugged into another power source; with a replacement you'll get back the life of your battery (or more!) that your iPod once had.
Screen replacement: $40 to $160 (touch)
Accidents happen. If you're iPod has a cracked or damaged screen, save yourself some money by having it repaired instead of buying a new one.
1 Not all repairs remedy the symptoms expressed on an iPod. We make our best effort to repair the part that is most likely the cause of the problem; however, in the even that a repair is unsuccessful, there is only a $20 charge for our time to attempt a repair.
Clock Battery Replacement (Desktops only): $29.95
The clock battery keeps the computer's time correct when the machine is shut down. This fee does not include the cost of this battery.
RAM Installation: Included with purchase of RAM
Installation can be performed in 15 to 30 minutes while you wait. There is no installation fee for RAM purchased from Mac Exchange.
On-site Setup/Support: $99.95
1.5 hours of onsite training and technical support time. Additional charge of $30 per 15 minutes of extra travel time for locations great than 30 minutes from our store. Let our technicians install your wireless system or help you fully utilize your new computer system.
In-store Setup/Support with data transfer: $159.95
Copies contents of your old hard drive to your new system and up to 1.5 hours of technical support time helping you setup your email, software programs, and accessories to utilize your old data. This service is provided in store only.
